Is Sweet Echinacea Right For You?

Sweet Echinacea is an immune-stimulating dietary supplement designed to support the overall health of children. The supplement is offered by the company Herbs for Kids, founded in 1990 with the purpose of providing safe herbal formulations suitable for the particular health problems affecting children. These products are alcohol-free and consist of appropriate amounts of therapeutic nutrients specially designed for the little ones. The founder of the company is the woman herbalist Sunny Mavor, who wanted to create a safe and pleasant tasting line of products, especially for children.

This formulation is offered as a precautionary measure against common colds or flues or as an effective treatment starting with the first signs of these common diseases. The formula is marketed as being based on a very popular and safety-wise well-documented extract of the Echinacea purpura root. The raw material is claimed as certified organically grown or ethically wild harvested. This means that either the herb was planted and grew in a free of fertilizers and synthetic chemicals environment, or it was wildcrafted in a responsible way (ensuring the survival of the plant species with minimal damage to the biodiversity).

Sweet Echinacea is suitable for children aged 1 to 12 years old. It is marketed to have both antiviral and antibacterial properties. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer a lot of relevant information about their formula.

Ingredients of Sweet Echinacea

Sweet Echinacea includes the following ingredients: Proprietary herbal blend (extract of Echinacea purpura root), Kosher Coconut and Palm Kernel Glycerine, Purified water, and citric acid.
