Is Standard Process Sesame Seed Oil Right For You?

Standard Process Sesame Seed Oil is created to deliver antioxidants through a mixture of Vitamin E and sesame oil. The business behind this product is named Standard process and claims to support the immune system and a healthy liver function. However, some research indicates that seed from Sesame can also be beneficial for the brain because it contains a high concentration of fats that are unsaturated. Also, sesame seed features tyrosine, a substance that contributes to secretion of a neurotransmitter called Dopamine. Low Dopamine levels are directly linked to ADHD, depression and Parkinson’s disease.

As an American company, Standard Process was established in 1929. Since then it has been one of the leaders on the nutritional market. Its portfolio contains more than three hundred products that are grouped into three categories: Standard Process Veterinary Formulas, MedHerb and Standard Process whole food supplements. They claim to utilize state-of-the-art facilities, manufacturing processes, and labeling systems, thus ensuring high-quality standard control. Despite their claims of having all manufacturing processes according to GMP standardization, FDA has not evaluated their system yet. Moreover, nursing and pregnant women should keep away from this mixture, since it may determine unwanted harmful side-effects.
